Heidelberg Catechisms

What is this?
The Heidelberg Catechism was completed in 1563. Written primarily by theologians Zacharias Ursinus and Caspar Olevianus, the Catechism was intended to provide a clear, accessible summary of Reformed Christian beliefs, rooted in a warm pastoral tone. Its structure includes 129 questions and answers, divided into three parts: human misery, human redemption, and gratitude, aligning with a progression from sin to salvation to sanctified living. The catechisms are divided into 52 sections, one for each Lord's Day of the year, meant for easy teaching and learning. Check back next Sunday for more questions and answers.
